Trekking in the Peak District is a great way to enjoy the scenery surrounding Sheffield! We run a couple of trekking sessions during the year at Lady Booth Equestrian Centre, We have used the centre for several years now and its always a great experience, though following the popularity with which these were received last year we are looking to increase the frequency of treks. The trek usually lasts about 2 hours, incorporating stunning peak district views with the opportunity to trot and canter for those who wish to. Although being able at least to walk and trot is useful for getting the most out of the session, it is enjoyed every year by all abilities.
Lady Booth Equestrian Centre is located in the Hope Valley and with a wide range of horses and ponies to suit all abilities of rider, rolling hills and an abundance of bridleways, what better way to view the beauty of the Hope Valley and surrounding countryside than on horse back! The treks follow centuries old pack routes and bridleways offering rides over genuinely un-spoilt countryside and moorland. Commanding fine views of both Edale and the Hope Valley we may trek over Jaggers Clough to Win Hill, or down through the scented pine forests to the beauty of the Derwent Valley.
