BHS Stage Exams SupportAs of 2019 SUEC will be offering support to members wishing to undertake any BHS stage exams. More information about these can be found on the BHS website.
The club has secured “Sports Club Development” grant to fund the purchasing of all the recommended BHS books for Stage 1 through to Stage 3. Although BHS exam training is available at a number of the yards, one of the barriers taking the exams is expense and for an individual to purchase the whole library of BHS books, this is very expensive. Instead, members can save the money and borrow the relevant books from the club. Not only will this help advance riders through the stages but will also allow beginner members to accrue knowledge which can later be applied whilst riding or in stable management. The club can provide textbooks for stages 1 to 3, and also has a couple of textbooks for anyone wishing to undertake stage 4. These should be available within the first few weeks of the 2018/19 term. The following club yards are registered assessment centres for BHS Exams: Sheffield Equestrian Centre - Stages 1-2 Brooksby Equestrian Centre - Stages 1-4.
