Socials

SUEC socials are one of the most important parts of being in the cub, as it’s the place where every
member can get together regardless of their position in the club and have a great time. It is a fantastic opportunity to get to know other club members and share some horsey stories, a delicious meal or a little tipple.

As a club we run a huge range of socials over the course of the term. We can often be found at a variety of local restaurants sampling all that Sheffield can offer from Italian to Thai. These are great occasions to have a chat with other members of the club and relax in some excellent company! As a club we try to maintain a balance with regular nights out to ROAR, but also have many non-alcohol related socials such as walks in the peaks, visits to a local animal sanctuary and meals out. We have a Christmas Meal held each December and also have a yearly End of Season Meal.

No social page would be complete without the legendary ROAR. This union night is every Wednesday where all the University’s sports clubs come together for drinking, dancing and creating memories that are promptly wiped. We’ll often run themed socials before a ROAR night where we make our way down West Street then throw some serious moves on the ROAR dance floor afterwards. These socials always consist of mad themes so we can stand out from the crowd, and we sometimes join up with other sports clubs to meet new pals. However, this is not all, we also have weekend PopTarts socials and non-union nights out too.
